Preliminary preparation for radiation therapy
This service includes only CT simulation without further work from radiation therapists and medical physicists. This may be necessary if the patient plans to undergo treatment at another clinic.
Preparation before radiation (planning + CT with topometric (including contrast agent if indicated)
Radiation therapy is an essential method for treating malignant neoplasms, aimed at destroying cancer cells with minimal impact on healthy tissues. To achieve maximum effectiveness and safety, careful preliminary preparation is required, which includes developing an individualized treatment plan and utilizing modern technologies.
Necessary Documents for Therapy
Before starting a course of radiation therapy, the patient must collect the following documents:
- Medical report with diagnosis and disease stage;
- Discharge summaries from previous stages of treatment, if applicable;
- Results from previous diagnostic studies (CT, MRI, PET, and others);
- Laboratory tests, such as a complete blood count and biochemical indicators;
- Conclusion from the oncologist confirming the need for radiation therapy;
- Medical certificates from other specialists if there are coexisting conditions.
These documents allow doctors to assess the patient's condition and determine the appropriate treatment method.
